All my adult life I have been inspired by high calibre international art. I have visited many of the great galleries in North America and Europe. What I have seen and admired there both informs my art and provides a challenge which I am attempting to meet on my own terms. My work over the past few years has focussed on four major themes: 1. Large Paintings of Heads 2. People in Art Galleries 3. Seascapes 4. Abstracts.
Although visually quite separate, they are all driven by the same enquiry which is to explore the use of colour, balance, mood, and space.
