Eight generations of PEI ancestors and seventeen years in British Columbia have imbued me with an appreciation for coastal and agricultural life as well as the simple and homely things that enrich the environment.
My favourite subjects are the light, lifestyles and landscapes of Canada's east and west coasts, and quiet places that invite the viewer to relax. I’ve been fortunate to have fun with my paintings as well as successes in juried shows, galleries, solo shows, and studio tours.
Oil paints have wonderful textural and blending attributes as well as interesting challenges and a canvas ground has life and bounce that begs to be used.
