Art by Louise Mould
Louise Mould was born in Exeter, Ontario, Canada in 1954. She has a B.A in history from the University of Prince Edward Island, and MLS from McGill University. She has also studied art at the Univeriste du Quebec a Trois Rivieres. She lived in Canada, Germany , the Democratic Republic of Congo and Israel.
Louise has been painting over 35 years. It is the landscape that features most prominently in her work and in her paintings it is evident that the forms and colours suggest the concept of landscape. Her major inspirations have been the Canadian landscape, the tropical forest of the Congo, and the land of the Mediterranean Middle East with its light and colour. She has often referred to the colours in terms of the sense of taste: sweet, bitter, sour, etc. It has been said of her work that "there is a consciousness or the reality of spiritual forces moving things and these paintings are making this obvious."
Her paintings are in private collections around the world, including Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Uganda, Canada and the United States. Her art was shown in group and solo exhibitions in US and Canada
