Suzanne Voisard paints subjects from the Island. At an early age it was evident that she had an unmistakable talent for painting. Although she studied teaching, she was never far from the art world. For many years she studied drawing, copper enamelling and oil painting which became her forte for almost the next twenty years. Upon discovering watercolor in 1990, she instantly adopted this technique.

Her work is defined by her realistic style depicting specific objects of typical country, city, or seaside settings. Upon discovery, she paints them with an unbridled passion. Essential elements such as lighting and texture found in each are found in each of her paintings. Her palette of earthen colours, her choice of paper, but mostly her use of the dry brush technique creates texture that gives an originality to her work.

She admires such painters as Edward Hopper with Andrew Wyeth being one of her favorites. Her words are represented by many galleries through solo and group exhibitions.
