I arrived a year ago on Prince Edward Island and fell immediately in love with this gentle land and the sense of space I get when out in the countryside. I’m attracted to the fields and tree covered hills and the structures associated with the working life of the island, barns, old farmhouses, bait shacks and the like. I want to paint mood and character into my work and for this reason the process of painting interests me more and more as I go.
